The Angry Gambler…

the-angry-gambler

Last night we had an angry gambler on our craps table.  The guy requested a reserved table.  Now, in a dealers mind we’re thinking this guy could be good or bad.  He say’s nothing to the dealer on his end and begins by making demands and throwing chips in (that roll all over the place) and making bets.  His starting average bet totalled $1800.  He seemed angry (probably on a loosing streak).  Of course he lost his bets quickly.  He continued to change his betting strategy while cursing the dice, dealer and whatever else he can blame other than himself.  It got worst.  He lost about $20,000 in a matter of 20 minutes or so.  All the while trying everything he could (changing stickmen, dice, his throw, strategy, you name it.  Nothing worked. He left the table pissed at everything except the right thing… himself.

Previous to his arrival a guy approached the game and wanted a $100 minimum table and got denied.  He still played, buying in with $1000 and only made a pass line bet of $200.  He kept quit didn’t complain and just started playing.  He always took his odds behind the line and once in awhile he bet on the hard six and hard eight for $100 each or more.  As he began to win he increased his bet to as high as $3000.00.  In a short period (approx. 40 mins) and with a happy smile, he left the table with $17,000.  He was consistent, motivated and at ease with himself.  All it took was some momentum.  Like I said in my previous post…  Gambling with an aggressive negative attitude will only slap you back in the face.  Don’t do it… it’s that simple.

Gambling with an aggressive negative attitude…

gambling-with-an-aggressive-negative-attitude

When you gamble with an aggressive negative attitude, count on losing 95% of the time.  All the negative thoughts, energy and outlook will most likely transfer to the entire table but more importantly it will attract the same negative response or effect back to you.  Learn how to accept negative emotions and how not to act upon them.  Emotions come and go…  What matters most is the action taken after an emotion or thought has arrived.  The cause and effect of emotions and thoughts are totally up to you my friend.

Gambling tip: Winning big…

gambling-tip-winning-big

Here’s a big tip after you win big:  If you are fortunate enough to win, you are fortunate enough to save or spend.  Send or wire some of the winnings back home or anywhere where you can’t get to it anytime soon.  By yourself or someone else something nice, treat someone to dinner or donate some to your favorite charity.  It’s true you know… “What goes around will always come back around”.
